39 Weeks!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
2016
How far along? 39 Weeks!
How big is baby? Baby Love is the size of a mini watermelon.

Total weight gain/loss:  23 Pounds
Maternity clothes? Long sleeve shirts, yoga pants, boots, and scarves. (I do find that I continually have to pull down my shirts because I find my belly hanging out)
Sleep: is extremely difficult and uncomfortable.  Mostly, my whole body aches...I have some good nights, but sleep hasn't been coming easy.

Best moment this week: Getting closer to my due date/visiting with friends home for the Holidays
Movement: A TON.  I can feel her getting bigger.  When she shifts, my whole abdomen shifts.  My body feels like it's being thwarted into different shapes.  I find her feet in my side on a regular basis.  I have to move it because it gets uncomfortable!

 Food cravings: Coca-Cola soda, Fruit
Food Aversions: Nothing in particular..

Gender: BABY GIRL!
Labor Signs:  A ton of Braxton Hicks mixed with real contractions.  Definitely experiencing the "show" they talk about.  I feel like we're getting closer.

Pregnancy Symptoms:  EXHAUSTION, sciatic, hip pain, lower back pain, sore chest, and contractions.
Belly Button in or out?  Not quite out, but close enough
What I miss: Sleeping on my Stomach/Getting a good night's sleep.
What I am looking forward to: I want to say that I'm looking forward to my due date, but part of me is still attached to the idea of keeping her where she is.  I'm going to miss our little internal bond.  I'm kind of nervous to have her out =/  I'm hoping this feeling changes and Sean and I will have our bonding time with her.  This is really important to me.  I can't wait to experience what it's like to be us 3.
Upcoming appointments/events: Aria's Due Date is on Thursday.  We have a doctor's appt on Wednesday.  I'm anxious to hear what the doctor is going to say.  I can't believe we've made it this far.  Little miss was supposed to be here weeks ago.  She's quite stubborn already!
Milestones:  Making it (almost) to Aria's due date, celebrating New Years Eve, getting to the theatre to see Star Wars before little Lady got here.  (This was super important to Daddy)

37 Weeks

How far along? 37 Weeks!
How big is baby? Baby Love is the size of a winter melon.

Total weight gain/loss:  20 Pounds
Maternity clothes? Long sleeve shirts, yoga pants, boots, and scarves.
Sleep: has been harder.  She's a wiggler and wakes up every morning around 4:30am when Daddy is leaving for work.  I've been using Doterra lavender essential oils at night and it really helps me sleep (Aside from having to got to the bathroom 8-12 times a night)

Best moment this week: Watching Daddy play with the heel of her foot through my belly.
Movement: She's moving all over.  I can feel her moving on different sides of my belly now that she's getting bigger.  She loves to shove her heel into my rib cage.  It's not the best feeling, but it feels good to know shes so active.

Food cravings:  Orange Juice mixed with Apple Juice and these smoothies we got from Costco.
Food Aversions: Chicken mostly

Gender: BABY GIRL!
Labor Signs:  Well, we made it past the two week pre-term possibility.  The good news-We got a lot done and we're pretty much ready for baby girl to be here.  Now we're just playing the waiting game...On Saturday, I was having contractions about a minute and a half long and 4-4 1/2 minutes apart.  We decided to make our second trip to the hospital.  When we got there, they slowed and became a lot less regular.  They ended sending me home after about 3 hrs. of monitoring.  I'm now closer to 3cm. and about 80% effaced.  Baby is closer to a +1 station.

Pregnancy Symptoms:  EXHAUSTION, sciatic, hip pain, lower back pain, sore chest, and inconsistant contractions.
Belly Button in or out?  It's almost out
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach, getting a good nights sleep, and salami sandwiches.
What I am looking forward to: Meeting our little Miss for the first time, hoping the experience turns out to be a special one.
Upcoming appointments/events: 38 week appt. next Wednesday (If we get there)  Christmas is this Friday.  I'm hoping we get past the holidays!
Milestones:  Making it to nearly 38 weeks!  Baby's due date is in 15 days.  It's so surreal.  Grandma got us the bedding for baby girl's bedroom =)

Total weight gain/loss:  18 Pounds
Maternity clothes? Still regular clothes.  Loving my long sleeve shirts and yoga pants with infinity scarves!

Food Aversions: Not super fond of protein still.

Gender: BABY GIRL!
Labor Signs:  Inconsistent Contractions-on Saturday we made a trip to the hospital because we thought that I may have been leaking fluids.  It turns out that I was not, however, I was having contractions that I wasn't aware I was having.  We were in the hospital from about 11:00pm to 3:30am.  It turns out that I wa 70% effaced and almost 2cm dilated.  I tested positive for fetal fibronectin meaningggg it's highly likely that little miss Aria will be arriving within the next 2 weeks.

Pregnancy Symptoms:  EXHAUSTION, sciatic and hip pain mostly.
Belly Button in or out?  In, but working it's way out still!
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach mostly.
What I am looking forward to: Seeing what little miss looks like.
Upcoming appointments/events: 36 week follow up on Monday to check progression.
(Past Events)  We had a 3D ultrasound done!  It was nice to see our baby girl again!  She was head down and so low in the pelvis that we had a hard time seeing her.  She was pressing her little face against the wall and resting her little head on the placenta.  She made daddy's day when she stuck out her tongue!
Milestones:  Finishing the Nursery, finishing our labor and delivery classes, getting ready for baby's early arrival.
